Who We Are

Creating our life, living the dream

We are a family of 5 travelling on a Beneteau 31. In September 2020, we are pulling the plug on our crazy busy life to sail down to the Bahamas for 10 months.

Living in a tiny space, home schooling, diesel mechanics, marine electrical systems, food management and navigation will become our daily primary concerns. Weather reports will be of upmost importance.

We have always enjoyed travelling, although sailing is a new experience for certain members of the crew this will be a life changing trip. Thank you for following and supporting us on our journey!

Sailors

Grey eminence

Papy Pierre

Temporary crew member of the trip to the Bahamas, co-owner of SV Caboteur, boat preparer, great navigator, a little (a lot!) the source of the crew’s love of sailing…

Captain / Co-Captain

Sylvie

I have been sailing since I was a teenager. It’s my haven, my anchor. Playing with the wind allows me to unwind, to pull the plug. I love boat life…

EXO

Nicolas

I’ve learned to sail and to navigate over the years. I’m also a good cook, although my time in the cabin while the boat is under sail is counted.

Sailor

Alizée

I like sailing to spend time with family while having fun. It is a passion for me, difficult to explain.

Sailor

Cloé

I started sailing around the age of 5. I’ve loved doing it ever since. I’m improving from year to year and I hope to be as good as my mom one day, if possible.

Sailor

Lou

I learned to sail at 3 years old. My mother took us on the sailboat several times. We spent several days on the boat with my family.

This is just the beginning

Sailing according to Lou – Sailing is my freedom. When I’m on a boat, I no longer have to think about school, everything that scares me, I relax.
